MOPPETS

The West Side MOPPETS Program

21_MOPSDo the moms and kids stay together?

No. This organization is focused on nurturing YOU! We are able to offer limited childcare free of charge. In order to take advantage of this, we need all moms and children to register. Registering allows us to make sure that we have room in our MOPPETS program for each child. (Note: Even if you plan to attend MOPS without your child, please do register ahead of time.)

All children over the age of 3 months can be dropped off in designated, age-appropriate rooms. Procedures are in place to keep a high level of safety and security for your kids as well as communication with you throughout the meetings. Please feel free to contact us for room ratios and additional questions about our MOPPETS program.

What is a MOPPET?

A MOPPET is a preschool-aged child of a MOPS mom!

What is a MOPPETS Helper?

For twenty years (and counting), volunteers from West Side Presbyterian Church have been graciously donating their time and energy to help our organization. Whether they are rocking infants or rolling out the play-doh, our wonderful volunteers love to spend time with children. All helpers are background checked.

What do the kids do while in their MOPPET rooms?

Each room has a curriculum, except the infant room where the ladies just love to hold and rock your babies and chat with each other. In the nursery, volunteers engage in and supervise play time and snack. Children ages 2 years and older are divided up by their age; volunteers follow a curriculum that includes songs, story time, snack and craft projects.
